Ilan has served as the Chief Investment Officer of Nazare Capital Management since 2019. As the CIO, Ilan is responsible for the firm's asset allocation and risk management framework. As a tenured professional on Wall Street, Ilan has built relationships across Broker Dealers and bulge bracket investment banks to ensure the firm has access to leverage and opportunities. Prior to Nazare, Ilan was a Managing Director at General Catalyst. From 2008 through 2018, Ilan was a portfolio manager at Soros Fund Management. Ilan started off his career at Bear Sterns Co. focused on Non-Agency Mortgage-Backed Securities and served as a Vice President of ABS Trading at Merrill Lynch Co. Ilan graduated from Queens College in 2004.
Mark oversees real estate investments on behalf of Nazare Capital, leading the firm’s efforts in acquiring over 4,100 units totaling approximately $2 billion in value since 2020. Mark has over 17 years of experience investing across multiple market segments and driving the strategy and growth of several real-estate related projects. From 2012 through 2019, Mark served as an Executive and the Global Head of Real Estate for WeWork, where he oversaw the firm’s real estate expansion across North America, Europe, Latin America, Australia, and Asia. During his tenure, the company grew from a footprint of 200,000 square feet to over 20 million square feet globally. In 2020, Mark joined Nazare Capital, where he has led several new investments in east coast multifamily assets. Mark holds a BA degree from Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration and a Juris Doctorate Cum Laude from New York Law School.
Chris serves as President of FOL Management, a subsidiary that oversees property management of Nazare Capital’s Real Estate portfolio. Chris is a forward-looking entrepreneur by background with more than 15 years of C-suite level management and scaled operations experience. Between 2010 and 2019, Chris led various functions at WeWork. He maintained roles of Chief Operating Officer, Global Head of Operations, Chief Executive Officer of WeWork Japan and Chief Product Officer within the WeWork enterprise. In these roles, Chris created, implemented, and scaled many of the operational frameworks and strategies that are used to run WeWork communities while creating the highest standards of member experience. As Chief Product Officer, Chris oversaw the entirety of the WeWork product suite, inclusive of product design and development, project delivery, construction innovation, facilities management, and new product incubation and launch. Chris earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Advertising & Branding from The School of Visual Arts in 1985.
