During Investing in the Face of Uncertainty, Yieldstreet’s Charlie Schilling, General Manager of Investments at Yieldstreet, and Daniel Posner, Senior Advisor to Yieldstreet and the Chief Investment Officer at Rensop Investment Group, discussed how investors should be evaluating the market/economy through the end of 2020.
Daniel Posner has spent nearly 30 years as a distressed debt Investor. Before funding his own private investment firm, Daniel was Head of Credit Opportunities first at DE Shaw and then at Golub Capital, and CIO of Alliance Bernstein’s Energy Opportunities business. In this webinar, Charlie and Daniel discussed:
Having been on Wall Street for the tech bubble of 2000, and later, the Great Recession of 2008, Daniel has had plenty of experience in dealing with investment cycles. Regarding the current environment and strategic places for investing, he said:
“The truth is no one knows what is going to happen. You need to have a long-term strategy with a mix of market securities and alternative securities to diversify your risk. We do know that while cash is really important during these times, at some point, inflation may kick in and hard assets will increase in value.”
