[12:23] Does having a passion for your business make success any easier?
[19:10] Adam’s advice for growing your social media following.
[30:02] Finding a niche in any industry.
“I just wanted a job in sports.” With the passion of a college entrepreneur, Adam decided that he was going to do whatever it took to get a job in sports. He bought a $40 website name, started interviewing everyone he could get in front of a microphone, and with that, Front Office Sports was born. Four years into the endeavor he found his first investor on Twitter, and the dream has continued to expand into a powerhouse sports industry business ever since. By maintaining touchpoints with a variety of potential investors, they have been able to grow larger and farther than they originally thought possible. Adam points out the importance of having people in your corner who really want to be a part of the company from the beginning, through all of the stages of trials and tribulations that come with any company that is disrupting their industry.
Does having a passion for your business make success come any more easily? Adam admits that he was initially just looking for a way to turn his passion into a job, but that the transition into a full fledged business was a difficult one. He highlights the key catalysts for growth at Front Office Sports, including the impact of the pandemic and their focus on LinkedIn as their major social media platform. Adam has valuable tips for repurposing content to be used across multiple social media channels, and the importance of meeting your audience where they are. From offering high quality, uplifting images on Instagram to breaking news headlines for Twitter and short personality videos for Tik Tok, it is essential to curate specific content that feeds to people in whatever ways that they prefer to consume media.

Front Office Sports has clearly found their niche, but can that same concept be applied to other industries? Adam believes that sports are everything, and that there is still plenty of untapped potential in the industry to focus on without expanding to other niches. Most recently he has expanded the niche to start a new podcast that explores the multifaceted interests of executives, athletes, entrepreneurs and business leaders. He also occasionally finds time to relax by cooking, traveling, and most of all, dreaming about what still needs to be done in the business that he is so passionate about.
From his favorite athletes to his favorite sports moments and which professional team he would like to be a part owner of, Adam has plenty to share about his passions and what keeps him going through the hard days and keeps him up with excitement at night.
