Over the last few days you may have heard or read about the recently uncovered security flaw in Cloudflare, a widely used internet service that both protects and speeds up your interaction with the web. Affectionately called “Cloudbleed”, this bug potentially leaked sensitive data like private messages, passwords or other personal information to any hacker who knew where to look.
We wanted to take a moment to let you know that YieldStreet was unaffected by this bug. The YieldStreet platform does not use the Cloudflare service, and as such, your data is safe and secure. We also investigated the external services our platform relies on and verified that they were unaffected. We care very deeply about the security and privacy of your data, and are constantly monitoring our server operations to ensure we continue to stay safe and insulated from this and other vulnerabilities.
That said, while your YieldStreet data is safe, secure and unaffected by Cloudbleed, we highly recommend you change your passwords on other sites that may be affected. Although it is unlikely that this vulnerability, which has since been patched, was actually exploited, it helps to be safe. If you have reused a password on an affected site for your YieldStreet account, please reset your password here.
